I'm delighted to say that I'm going to be the Artist in Residence at Burton Agnes Hall from the 11th to the 20th May.

As well as the beautiful Hall itself, the gardens at Burton Agnes are definitely well worth a visit - very 'user friendly', with giant games, a maze, a woodland walk, a walled kitchen garden, and of course many different plant species - over four thousand, according to the website.  There are also some nice little shops and a cafe around the courtyard, and very nice icecream...

And don't forget to come and see the artist in the Summerhouse (if I'm not there, you'll probably find me in the queue for icecream).

The pictures below are from the website, www.burtonagnes.com, reproduced with permission.

We wish you all the best for your Artist in Residence week Jan. We are delighted with our Bee print. It's a beautiful painting - and such a sweet subject!

I've been to the Hall twice, and it is a really good day out. I shall use fact that you will be there as the Artist in Residence as an excuse to visit a third time! I love the paintings and prints - you have a wonderful talent! Perhaps, if I approach you with a photograph of my much-loved cat, Busby, and an ice cream, you may consider taking him on as a commission... So, I'll see you next week!! Keep up the good work, Jan!
